IVAN BALDUKHA

Ivan Baldukha was born in 1954 in Ukraine. From 1975 - 1980, he studied in the Art Studio at the Palace of Culture in Kiev. At the same time, he took private lessons in the studio of Victor Zaretsky, a well known European artist. In 1980, Ivan Baldukha entered the Kiev Art Academy completing his studies in painting with distinction in 1986. His paintings are exhibited in the galleries of ten different countries. In 1997, a documentary film was made about him. The artist was painting religious murals on the walls of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Coopers City, Florida, USA. At the present time, he works primarily in the area of religious art. He has painted over 2,500 icons.
