Ivan Mitsyk - A graduate of the
Kiev Art Institute and the Odessa Grekov Fine Arts Institute,
Mitsyk earned a graduate degree in art restoration and conservation,
receiving honors from the Kiev Art Review Board and the Moscow
Art Commission. He has twenty years of experience in his field,
eight of these in the United States, restoring and conserving
art and art objects for galleries and churches. Mitsyk's original
works include original icons, paintings and murals fo rebuilding
interiors both church and secular. He has exhibited his works
in many places of the United States. Mitsyk is an expert in restorative
and conservative work on 18th century paintings both genre and
ecclesiastical. He specializes in work of the Byzantine era including
icons, paintings and murals proficient in the use of gold leaf,
egg tempera, oil and acrylic renovation. He has restored iconostases
and frescoes in churches both here and abroad. Mitsyk is experienced
in museum work, having organized the conservation and presentation
of museum exhibits at The State Museum of the Ukraine. He restores
sculpture and replicates faux mosaic and marble
